Guernsey Women prepare for return of Inter Insular action
After a two year gap Guernsey Women's National Squad are ready to take on Jersey again when the T20I lnter Insular Cup returns this weekend (25th -26th June). The format is a Tri-Series with two games on Saturday and one on Sunday deciding the winner of the Cup. Guernsey currently holds the trophy after victory in 2019 at College Field. The three matches should also see Guernsey acquire a T20I ICC World Ranking and start to target their way up those rankings.

All three matches will be played at Grainville in Jersey with the Guernsey squad flying out on Saturday morning.

The matches will be the first played by the side wearing their new Gower branded green shirts and the support provided by the new deal with Gower has helped in the preparation costs for the games and, will support the development of Women and Girl' s cricket for the future as well.
Lee Forshaw the Guernsey Head Coach is excited about the re-start of Inter Insular competition; "the squad are looking forward to playing competitively again and even more so off island and it always adds something special when the games are against Jersey. After two years without competitive cricket we are in something of a transition with the squad and these matches will be a big step in the development of this group."
